American Heritage Music Hall hosts the 4th Annual Spring Craft and Vendor Show

Fairlea, West Virginia – While some believe that April showers bring May flowers, the 4th annual Spring Craft & Vendor Show presented by American Heritage Music Hall will also take place in April. On Friday, April 4 and Saturday, April 5, vendors will gather in the Cecil H. Underwood Youth Center at the West Virginia State Fair for a two-day craft extravaganza. The event hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.

“We always have handmade wood items, fabric items, jewelry, wreaths, Easter baskets, baked goods, candies, paintings, and flower arrangements,” says Kay Shafer, American Heritage Music Hall’s fundraising coordinator. “We also try to have representatives from AVON, Scentsy and Paparazzi.”

The Easter Bunny will be available for complimentary photos on Saturday, April 5, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Additionally, there will be games and prizes. On Saturday, there will also be a ‘Meet & Greet’ for candidates running for Mayor and City Council in Ronceverte. The exact time has yet to be determined, but it will be announced before the show.

When the event concludes on Saturday night, two raffle baskets will be awarded. “You do not have to be present to win,” Kay Shafer confirms. All entries will be used to raffle off one adult spring-themed basket and one child’s Easter basket. Tickets can be purchased at the craft show for $2 each or three for $5.

The Thomas Taylor Band will close the event on Saturday night at the Cecil Underwood Youth Center. Guests can relax in a chair and listen to this traditional country band’s music, or they can hit the dance floor from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. for some foot-tapping entertainment. The admission fee for the dance will be $10 per person.

The Spring Craft & Vendor Show is open and free to the public. There will be a concession stand, and the proceeds will benefit the American Heritage Music Hall. “We would like to invite the community to come out and support local crafters, vendors and the American Heritage Music Hall,” according to Shafer. “We need the support.” The proceeds from vendor setup fees and the dance will also benefit the music hall.
