Jaden Smith made a striking appearance on the red carpet at the 2025 Grammy Awards. Willow, Will Smith’s son, stood next to his sister wearing a black suit and tie, topped off with a castle on his head.
The siblings arrived at Crypto.co Arena in Los Angeles, most likely through the same door they smuggled Luka Doncic through to join the Lakers.
While Willow Smith straddled the line with a revealing regal look, Jaden Smith appeared to be paying homage to David Lynch in his black suit and charcoal castle over his head. That’s my guess for the tribute, however.
The pair are on hand to see their father return to the awards stage for the first time since his infamous Oscars slap. Will Smith will present at the show, which will also feature host Trevor Noah and Beyonce’s impending award blitz, with 11 nominations.
The real question now is how long Jaden Smith will keep the awkward-looking headpiece on top of his head. Is this his most awkward and strange appearance? Far from it.
But it does raise a few questions, which is beneficial in the long run. He discussed his point of view in an October interview with Complex.
“It was a huge deal for me for a long time when people assumed I was normal. This bothered me after a while. “I started to feel like people didn’t really understand or see me, and I wasn’t really trying to show it,” he told the outlet.
“It’s frustrating to see people try to do the ‘normal’ thing when that’s not what they really want to do with their art and everything. It’s extremely frustrating. And then you see people, generations of people, falling into it. So I’m actively trying to be myself.
