A South Carolina lady has been charged with attempted murder after reportedly striking her husband with her SUV and having her children drive him home.
Brittany Rose Hernandez, 35, is accused of striking her 44-year-old husband with her Chevy Traverse near an intersection in Forest Acres, South Carolina, on Tuesday. According to Forest Acres Police, a witness reported seeing a person hit and “dragged” by an SUV between 6:35 and 6:45 p.m. that day and calling 911.
When officers arrived, the suspected victim was nowhere to be found.
“Officers responded to the scene, but by the time they arrived, the injured man had vanished,” a Forest Acres police statement read.
The witness who witnessed the alleged event reportedly reported seeing two minors transport the victim into an SUV and drive away. The inquiry discovered that the entire claimed incident was recorded on a nearby surveillance camera.

Police said their inquiry took them to Hernandez and her husband’s residence, who was not named in the news release but was discovered suffering from “serious injuries” the day after the alleged event. He apparently was not brought to the hospital after being hit by the SUV. He was brought to the hospital “immediately,” although his present health was not disclosed.
According to a police report acquired by WACH, a local Fox station, Hernandez and her husband got into an argument and pulled into the parking lot of a company on Forest Drive. Hernandez went inside to buy drinks. When she returned, her husband got out of the car — but Hernandez drove the SUV around to chase him.
Surveillance video purportedly shows the spouse walking away from the SUV, following which Hernandez allegedly took a fast curve, drove into him, and dragged him for about 10 feet below the car. At that point, cameras captured footage of two minor children exiting the car and loading the alleged victim into an SUV, which then drove away.
Hernandez was brought into Richmond County Jail and charged with attempted murder. She has a bond hearing scheduled for Friday.
