This weekend marks the final leg of the Road to WrestleMania 41. WWE’s biggest annual show kicks off Saturday, with a main event that could be the weekend’s most anticipated match.
The Night 1 finale features CM Punk, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins. Punk will headline a WrestleMania card for the first time in his nearly three-decade career. Punk and Reigns’ separate friendships with Paul Heyman have heightened tension in an already volatile feud.
But that is not all. This event is always packed with exciting matches that will keep the fans at Allegiant Stadium entertained all night. There’s the US championship match between titleholder LA Knight and challenger Jacob Fatu, who many believe will become a main event player sooner rather than later.
There’s also the WWE women’s championship match between champion Tiffany Stratton and challenger Charlotte Flair, which has become increasingly heated in recent weeks. Furthermore, when Jade Cargill and Naomi face off, their bitter rivalry reaches a new high point.
There was one late change to the action on Saturday night. Rey Mysterio was set to face El Grande Americano after weeks of buildup. However, Mysterio appeared to be injured on Friday’s episode of SmackDown, as he was seen being helped back to the locker room by officials following his match.
In his place comes Rey Fenix, a luchador who recently made his WWE debut. He is the real-life brother of another luchador who recently made his Penta debut and will compete for the intercontinental title on Sunday.
