LEWISBURG – The Greenbrier River Watershed Association will hold its annual watershed celebration day at Lost World Caverns on Saturday, May 3, from 3 to 7 p.m. Admission is a suggested donation of $20 per person or $35 per family, which includes cave admission!
Learn about their water quality project in collaboration with WVSOM, stream ecology, and receive some free native flower seed packets. Greenbrier Grotto will be present with their squeeze box activity to show what it is like for cavers to be in tight spaces.
Inside the cave, there will be a fiddler, music, and a variety of activities for children. The Hub will serve delicious food, and the association will sell beautiful T-shirts, hats, drybags, and watershed maps to help fund their projects. They recently received a donated 2-person, 21-foot kayak, which will be on display and for sale, so come check it out!
Do you recall how dry it was last summer? They will have 13 painted rain barrels up for auction and raffle. These lovely rain barrels were painted by local schools.
