WATERVLIET, New York (WNYT) — I-787 was closed near Exit 7 in Watervliet early Friday morning after Chris Buregeya drove the wrong way and collided with another vehicle, according to State Police.
The accident occurred around 12:29 a.m., and I-787 remained closed until around 4 a.m.
Police said Buregeya, 25, of Rensselaer, had a BAC of 0.15%. He was charged with DWI and other traffic offenses.
The crash left no one injured. Buregeya is set to appear in Watervliet City Court at a later date.
