Two arrests in Greenbrier County narcotics investigation

Greenbrier County, West Virginia – Two males were arrested on Tuesday following the execution of search warrants in connection with an ongoing narcotics investigation in Greenbrier County.

The Greenbrier County Sheriff’s SWAT squad executed the first search warrant in the Quinwood area on April 8 on behalf of the Greenbrier Valley Drug and Violent Crime Task Force.

The warrant was issued following a joint investigation by the Task Force, the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office, and the West Virginia State Police.

Justin Rich, 34, of Quinwood, was taken into custody without incident. He was wanted on outstanding warrants for delivering a controlled drug.

The information uncovered during the search led authorities to secure a second warrant for a home in the Orient Hill neighborhood.

The SWAT squad executed the second warrant later that day, arresting Ellis Wilson, 49, of Orient Hill.

He is charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled substance and being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm.

A Greenbrier County magistrate arraigned both males, who were then transferred to the Southern Regional Jail.
