Senator Jim Justice, R-West Virginia, is ecstatic that President Donald Trump has signed executive orders to reinvigorate the coal industry.
Justice spoke on “NewsNation Now” to address the orders, which were signed Tuesday.
The White House stated that the orders were issued to “secure America’s economic prosperity and national security, lower the cost of living, and provide for increases in electrical demand from emerging technologies.”
Justice, whose family has deep ties to the coal business, feels the measure will avert a decision between homes and industry, which he believes is unavoidable otherwise.
“In America today, if we don’t have coal, gas, oil and all of the alternatives, we’re making a big mistakeā¦” “You’re going to push China, Iran, and North Korea together,” Justice stated. “And you’re going to expose us to a national security risk like you couldn’t imagine.”
Justice thanked the president for his leadership and decisions on the coal industry.
“I’m really, really proud of this president,” he was saying.
