Citizens of the United States who have already accepted a retirement payment will be able to receive Social Security benefits during the month of April. However, we do have a retirement payment schedule divided into four days, which means we must determine when we will receive each of these payments.
If we accept the payment, we will not have to worry because we will receive it throughout the month. However, if we want to know what specific time of the month we will be able to receive this new check, we must carefully check the calendar. This system allows retirees to live more comfortably because they can mark the day on which the Administration sends them their monthly check.
Who will receive Social Security in the next few hours?
To receive the new Social Security payment of $1,720, you must be in group 1. This group will receive the first payment of the month, but the collection method is critical to receiving it within the next few hours or yesterday.
It is important, therefore, to bear in mind these two requirements to get your Social Security payment today:
- Be part of the group 1 of retirees.
- Not have Direct Deposit activated.
Each beneficiary is assigned to a different group based on the year of retirement and birthday. Thus, group 1 retirees have a check dated before May 1997. Similarly, birthdays have no impact on group 1 retirees, as they are common among groups 2, 3, and 4.
How much will I receive from Social Security in April 2025?
Despite COLA’s impact on Social Security benefits in 2025, April checks will remain unchanged from previous months. As a result, the payment you collected in March and February will be the one you receive in April.
The rest of the payments in 2025 will be the same amount, so we will be able to determine whether we have enough budget for our expenses or if we can choose to receive other extra checks such as SSI or SNAP Food Stamps.
The payment ranges from $1,720 to $5,180. However, the latter amount is the maximum, making it challenging for beneficiaries to obtain Social Security benefits.
