DOGE CEO Elon Musk recently called for legal action against non-governmental organizations, as the tech billionaire works to reduce annual government spending by $1 trillion in order to create a deficit.
“With respect to non-governmental organizations, these sort of fake NGOs, I think there needs to be a number of arrests,” Musk said during an interview with The Five.
“These are fake charities, mostly run by Democrats. There’s a little bit of Republican in there because they occasionally throw a bone to the Republicans by saying, ‘Hey, be quiet about this.’ So that’s where you get the uniparty thing going on,” he explained.
The Republican Party has criticized Joe Biden’s administration for assisting non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
“But it is overwhelmingly to Democrats, and they give these billions of dollars to NGOs run by Democrats that then go through a whole network of additional NGOs — it’s a giant money laundering scheme,” according to Musk.
“R eally at this point, I think the word NGO and money laundering are almost synonymous ,” he told reporters.
While Elon Musk did not specify which NGOs were corrupt, several Republicans have taken aim at one affiliated with Stacey Abrams.
Joe Biden’s administration awarded a $2 billion environmental grant to Abrams-affiliated organizations.
However, the gubernatorial candidate has stated that she did not personally benefit or profit from the donation.
Elon Musk also stated that the con artist who stole 400,000 Social Security numbers would be held accountable.
“I believe someone is going to be arrested tomorrow — because there’s someone who actually stole 400,000 Social Security numbers and personal information from the Social Security database,” the entrepreneur told CNN.
“Selling Social Security numbers and all the identification information in order for people to basically steal money from Social Security,” according to him.
Elon Musk later claimed that Social Security theft could lead to larger security issues.
“A particular avenue of fraud for like illegal immigrants and for voter fraud, because the main way that identification is established in the United States is via Social Security,” he went on.
“So, if you compromise a Social Security system, you can basically get people to get de facto registered to vote, even if they’re not citizens, and to get a bunch of benefits,” Musk told reporters.
