UNIQUE: Frail 87-Year-Old Morgan Freeman Is "Dying in Agony" Due to "Chronic Pain, Fatigue, Insomnia, and Memory Issues"

Frail Morgan Freeman’s shaky appearance has reignited fears that the 87-year-old Oscar winner is more fragile than he admits, RadarOnline.com can reveal.

The battle-scarred actor appeared to be ready to “throw in the towel” as the emotional legend paid tribute to late pal Gene Hackman at this year’s Academy Awards, according to sources.

Freeman has openly discussed his long battle with fibromyalgia, a chronic and incurable condition characterized by pain, fatigue, difficulty sleeping, memory and mood issues.

The Shawshank Redemption star was diagnosed with the disorder after surviving a near-fatal car accident in 2008 that also paralyzed his left hand, forcing him to wear a compression glove to promote blood flow and manage his “excruciating” nerve pain.

Freeman admitted, “I suffered nerve damage, and it hasn’t gotten better.”

Following the smash-up, the Kiss the Girls star received a pacemaker.

He claims the accident occurred when he “just passed out” while driving a friend’s 1997 Nissan Maxima.

According to a witness, the car veered off a rural highway in Mississippi, flipped several times, and landed upright in a ditch.

“It was extremely bad. I rolled the car over. “I believe it tumbled,” he stated.

According to an insider, Freeman “never completely recovered” from the catastrophic accident and “never will.”

However, that is not the only ailment that has plagued the rail-thin actor.

Morgan was forced to miss a London photocall and screening for his Paramount+ series Special Ops: Lioness, which stars Nicole Kidman and Zoe Saldana, in 2023 due to a “contagious infection.”

Our insider revealed: “It’s no secret that he has a lot of health issues. His mobility has never been the same; he is constantly in pain, tired, and unable to stand for long periods of time.

“He continues to wear a special glove due to nerve damage that paralyzed his hand.

“Certainly, he is receiving the best treatment available to improve his quality of life. But, aside from medication and therapies, there is no cure for fibromyalgia.”

Despite this, the ambitious actor continues to work and has three upcoming projects, including the heist thriller Now You See Me 3.

The insider added, “Morgan has good and bad days. Everyone is happy to see him staying active, but he is working nonstop, which is a concern.”
