In Alleghany County, Virginia, a woman linked to a recent shooting in Botetourt County has been apprehended, according to WSET. The arrest comes just days after an incident on March 23, where shots were fired, resulting in attempted murder charges.
Botetourt County deputies reported that a mother attempted to intervene in a dispute between her daughter and her daughter’s boyfriend. During the altercation, the boyfriend allegedly discharged two rounds at the mother, though fortunately, no injuries were sustained. Following the event, both the boyfriend and daughter fled the scene.
The boyfriend now faces charges of attempted murder and abduction, among others. Initially, the daughter was not charged in connection with the shooting, but authorities noted she was wanted for a separate matter in Alleghany County.
On Wednesday, the Alleghany County Sheriff’s Office reported that a sergeant, during a traffic stop, encountered an individual who knew the whereabouts of the daughter, identified as Arieanna McDorman, leading to her arrest.
ACSO said they worked together alongside the sheriff’s offices of both Bath and Botetourt County to locate and arrest her in Bath County. She is currently being held without bond.
