As the IRS begins to issue a large number of these stimulus checks to reduce the backlog as rapidly as possible, the Tax Refund is making its way into more and more American homes every day.
It is true that many people who have already filed their taxes have yet to receive their refunds, but it is also true that they will soon receive their yearly tax payment.
We can estimate when we will receive the Tax Refund check if we closely monitor the information pertaining to the IRS payment schedule.
Since we might not receive these payments, they shouldn’t be included in our regular budget. However, it’s helpful to know when we can expect to receive the funds.
When do the new IRS Tax Refunds arrive?
The day we submit the tax return determines the day we receive the IRS payment of the refund. Nevertheless, we might still run into issues, so even if we filed the tax return three weeks ago, we might not have the funds on hand.
Before accepting the Tax Refund Direct Deposit, the IRS must review all of the supporting documentation. Typically, it takes three weeks after we file our tax return. Therefore, we will either receive the payment sooner or later, depending on the day we submitted this documentation.
Depending on the day we submitted the tax return, the following approximate calendar will help you determine when the refund will be issued:
- February 24: direct deposit could be around due on March 17
- February 25: direct deposit could be around due on March 18
- February 26: direct deposit could be around due on March 19
- February 27: direct deposit could be around due on March 20
- February 28: direct deposit could be around due on March 21
- February 29: direct deposit could be around due on March 22
- March 1: direct deposit could be around due on March 23
- March 2: direct deposit could be around due on March 24
- March 3: direct deposit could be around due on March 25
- March 4: direct deposit could be around due on March 26
- March 5: direct deposit could be around due on March 27
- March 6: direct deposit could be around due on March 28
- March 7: direct deposit could be around due on March 29
- March 8: direct deposit could be around due on March 30
In many instances, the stimulus check is paid by direct deposit. We can only enjoy the money as soon as the IRS sends it to us if we have selected this option. If not, it will take us a few days to receive the funds in our checking account.
