In the month of March 2025, we may see a big number of payments from the United States Social Security, but each retiree receives a payment on a different day of the month based on which group they belong.
If we are in group 1, we will be able to collect our payment in the first week of the month, assuming no surprises. However, because we are discussing the final March payment, we must complete some specific requirements in order to get the Social Security payment on this day.
If you do not belong to this group of retirees, you may be able to get the payout on another day. However, keep in mind that the payment for these other groups has already been sent, so it should have been in your checking account by now.
Retirees who are not in group 4 and have not received their March Social Security payment should examine if there are any issues with the payment, as it should already be available. If they do not have it, the best thing to do is submit a claim to the Administration as soon as possible.
Requirements for the last Social Security payment of March 2025
To receive our final Social Security payment in March 2025, we only need to meet two requirements. This group is made up of retirees of all kinds, so it makes no difference whether the payment is for disability, old age, or another reason.
The requirements to get this monthly payment are:
- Have a benefit accepted since after May 1997.
- Your birthday must fall between the 21st and 31st of any month.
Only if we belong to this group of retirees will we be able to receive the check on March 26, 2025. On this day, we can only access the payment immediately if we activate Direct Deposit, the fastest collection method.
After the March 26th payment, we will have to wait until April for another benefit payment. To determine when we will receive our Social Security check, we must refer to the next month’s payment schedule, as each group receives payments on different days.
