Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) proudly told longtime Trump associate Steve Bannon on his “War Room” podcast that he signed a letter demanding that FBI Director Kash Patel investigate Reps. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) as domestic terrorists for speeches that did not call for violence.
“Let’s go ahead and play — I’ve got some clips from … two congressmen, one at a rally today, the other the other day, let’s play it,” Bannon told reporters. “I want to have your observations and whatever actions you think are appropriate here, sir.”
Crockett expressed her desire for Elon Musk, a tech billionaire and Trump adviser, to be “taken down” on her birthday. She also stated, “I’ve been so proud to see us organize behind a cause because here’s the deal: we’re fighting for our country, democracy, and freedoms.”
Meanwhile, during Ocasio-Cortez’s speech, a member of the audience blurted out “bring out the guillotines,” with Ocasio-Cortez not verbally or visibly endorsing the remark and instead continuing her speech against Trump and the “oligarchs” who fund him.
“Okay, Congressman Crockett’s there to take out Elon Musk in a fight, and you’ve got AOC at this rally where somebody starts saying ‘bring out the guillotines,'” declared Bannon. “The rhetoric is getting heated. “What do you think, Congressman Biggs?”
“Well, Steve, I think the rhetoric is abominable,” said Biggs, a far-right lawmaker accused of encouraging people to visit D.C. on January 6. “Today, I sent a letter to FBI Director Kash Patel, reminding him of USC 18 § 2335’s definition of domestic terrorism.
This is not considered political or civil discourse. Domestic terrorism includes those who incite others. And they are using domestic terrorism to try to intimidate government officials into changing policies. That is what you are witnessing here.
“And these, these members of Congress, they’re just as culpable, criminally, quite frankly, as, in my opinion, as those that are actually throwing the Molotov cocktails at the Teslas and are doxing people, just simply because they own cars,” Biggs went on: “What they are saying is that they want to see these people punished physically and violently, which is against the law.
That is domestic terrorism. And I believe Pam Bondi and Kash Patel want to take action, so we sent that letter to Director Patel and hope to see some results.”
