Felicia Beckwith, the mother of Jelly Roll’s daughter and the country singer’s ex, has been arrested and charged with drug possession. On February 27, police in Johnson City, Tennessee, pulled over Bailee’s 36-year-old mother.
Biological Mom Of Jelly Roll’s Daughter Arrested On Drug Charges
According to WCYB, Beckwith was one of three people involved in the arrest, which resulted in a search warrant. Deputies began searching the 1600 block of Ferrell Drive, seizing large amounts of methamphetamine and fentanyl. Deputies also discovered four handguns and $1,200 in cash, along with “various pills and paraphernalia.”
Police arrested two other men with Beckwitch: Christopher Thomas McKiney, 38, and Christopher Travis Porambo, 32. While McKinney faced the most charges, police charged Jelly Roll’s ex-wife with four different counts:
- Manufacture/Delivery/Sell/Possession of Methamphetamine
- Schedule II Drug Violations
- Two counts of Simple Possession/Casual Exchange
- Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia
The 40-year-old American artist has been candid about his difficult past. Jelly Roll (Jason DeFord) had been in jail 40 times for a variety of crimes. People reported that learning about the birth of his daughter Bailee while incarcerated changed him.
Learning of Bailee’s birth “inspired him to change,” and he was eventually released from prison around his daughter’s second birthday.
Jelly eventually met Bunnie XO, a model and influencer, in 2015. A year later, in 2016, the couple eloped, and Bunnie has taken on the role of Bailee’s mother. Meanwhile, Jelly revealed in 2024 that his ex had unfortunately relapsed.
He mentioned how difficult this was for Bailee while testifying. “Every day, I get to look into the eyes of a victim in my household,” he told Taste of Country. “Every single day I have to wonder…if today will be the day I have to tell my daughter that her mother became a part of the national statistic.”
Unfortunately, Bailee will be affected by this arrest, but she has her father and Bunnie’s support. Beckwith and the other two men were taken to the Washington County Detention Centre by deputies. Bailee’s biological mother is currently on a $4,000 bond and will appear in court on March 12.
