The identities of two victims have been published in the catastrophic West Virginia flooding

CHARLESTON, WV- West Virginia Governor Patrick Morrisey has confirmed that two people were killed as a result of last weekend’s severe flooding in McDowell County.

The victims have been identified as Donald and Debbie Griffin from Welch, according to the governor.

Authorities continue to look for a third person who has gone missing in Welch.

Governor Morrisey also reported that a firefighter died on Monday in McDowell County.

Further information about the firefighter’s death has not yet been released.

Emergency responders and state officials are still working to recover and provide relief in the affected areas.
