NEW YORK – A US judge on Friday extended a temporary ban on Elon Musk’s government cost-cutting team, known as DOGE, from accessing Treasury Department systems that handle trillions of dollars in payments.
U.S. District Judge Jeannette Vargas of Manhattan said at a hearing that she would not rule on a request from 19 Democratic state attorneys general for a longer-term preliminary injunction on DOGE’s access to the systems.
She left in place a temporary restraining order that had been issued on Saturday.
