Direct Deposits of up to $5,180 reach Social Security beneficiaries in less than a week

In less than a week, thousands of United States citizens will be able to receive a new Social Security payment via Direct Deposit. However, not every citizen will be eligible to receive this new payment because certain conditions must be met.

Without a doubt, one of the most important payments in American society is the Social Security payment. Many families rely solely on this check for their living expenses. For this and other reasons, we believe that having control over the payment schedule is extremely beneficial.

So, taking all of this into account, one of the new checks could arrive next week. This means that Social Security Group 3 beneficiaries can receive up to $5,180 in a direct deposit into their checking accounts.

Requirements for Social Security Direct Deposit

Given that there are up to four different groups of retirees in the United States who receive Social Security, we should be aware that each group collects on a different day. As a result, retirees in groups 1 and 2 received their money in February, while beneficiaries in groups 3 and 4 have yet to receive the benefit.

Group 3 retirees will be unable to collect their checks until February 19, 2025. On this day, only group 3 beneficiaries will be able to receive the corresponding benefit via Direct Deposit. To be a member of this group, only two requirements must be fulfilled:

  • Having a retirement check, regardless of the type of retirement, since after May 1997.
  • Your birthday must fall between the 11th and 20th day of any given month.

The payment date is February 19th, but that doesn’t mean that we will have the money available on that same day. We must also take into account the chosen collection method. If we have Direct Deposit activated, the payment will arrive instantly. If not, the money arrives a few days later.

More Social Security payments in February

In addition to the payment on February 19th, the Social Security Administration will issue another retirement check before the end of the month. The other check will be issued on February 26th, and only Group 4 retirees will be able to collect it.

To be a member of Group 4, we must also meet two requirements. On the one hand, we must have started receiving benefits sometime after May 1997. On the other hand, your birthday should fall between the 21st and 31st of any given month.

The last payment in the February calendar will be due on February 28th. This payment will be an anomaly in the Social Security payment calendar because it is actually the SSI payment for March of the same year.
