An Indiana adolescent is accused of threatening to murder the mother of his friend’s pregnant child in an Instagram Live video, telling her, “I don’t give a f— if your baby dies or not” — over an ongoing quarrel, according to police.
According to local CBS affiliate WTTV, Peyton A. Manning, 18, of Delaware County, was arrested Thursday morning and charged with one count of forceful felony intimidation after posting the threats on Instagram.
Manning, who turned 18 on Wednesday, allegedly threatened to murder a woman who is 12 weeks pregnant with his friend’s child while holding a gun to his face in an Instagram Live video.
“I’ll kill that baby too,” Manning allegedly shouted during the stream.
Charging documents acquired by WTTV show how he initially denied making the threats when confronted by police after being discovered at a local Quality Inn.
“Peyton initially denied saying anything, and then asked officers why we expected him not to say anything after being threatened,” an officer writes in the incident report. “Peyton asked me if I thought he would kill a child, and I responded that based on what he said in the video, I would have any reason to believe he would be capable of doing so.”
According to authorities, Manning finally admitted to making the threats but denied intending to carry them out. Cops believe his pal is the baby’s father and has been feuding with the mother. Manning’s purported Instagram video arose from an ongoing fight between the two.
Police arrested Manning early Thursday morning and charged him with forced intimidation. He was released on a $5,000 bond and awaits his first court appearance.
