February and March will be critical months for many beneficiaries of the United States Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) program. Many retirees begin collecting benefits during these months, so knowing the day they will receive their regular payment is critical if they want to plan everything perfectly.
Once we know when we will receive our February and March payments, we can estimate how many days of the year we will be able to access SSDI. The payment schedule follows specific patterns, so understanding them may be more important than it appears.
To determine when we will receive each payment, we must first identify which retirement group we belong to. These retirement groups include all types of beneficiaries, whether they are on SSDI or not.
SSDI payments in February 2025
Although some payments for this month have already been sent, all beneficiaries should be aware of the schedule. So we can see if our payment should have already been sent.
In February 2025, SSDI payments will follow the following schedule:
- February 3rd. Payment for retirees with benefits prior to May 1997.
- February 12th. Post-May 1997 retirees with birthdays between the 1st and 10th of the month collect on this day.
- February 19th. Retirees after May 1997 with birthdays between the 11th and 20th of the month collect on this day.
- February 26th. Retirees after May 1997 with birthdays between the 21st and 31st of the month collect on this day.
Both SSDI retirees and those receiving other benefits can collect their check on the same day as long as they belong to the group in question.
SSDI payments in March 2025
After the last SSDI payment in February 2025, we will have to wait until March to receive a new benefit. If we have the check from February, we will be able to receive these two payments, which is good news.
As a result, payments in March will take place on the following days:
- March 3rd. Payment for retirees with benefits prior to May 1997.
- March12th. Post-May 1997 retirees with birthdays between the 1st and 10th of the month collect on this day.
- March 19th. Retirees after May 1997 with birthdays between the 11th and 20th of the month collect on this day.
- March 26th. Retirees after May 1997 with birthdays between the 21st and 31st of the month collect on this day.
And once we receive our March payment, we will have to wait until April to receive one of the SSDI benefits again.
