The Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payment has a significant impact on US households because it provides additional income for Social Security beneficiaries who receive insufficient checks. In addition, non-retired Americans can apply for this benefit.
But the most important aspect of the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) check is that it is paid directly into the beneficiaries’ pockets each month. Even so, there are times when irregularities force us to receive payments on a different day than expected, so we must pay attention to the calendar.
SSI Dates for February and March 2025
This benefit is always paid on the first of each month, with a few exceptions. And, in fact, these exceptions apply to both February and March 2025. The payment is sent earlier because the first of each of these two months falls on a weekend.
As a result, we can conclude that the SSI payment was sent on the last working day of January 2025, rather than the first of the month. This means that the payment arrived earlier for American households with Direct Deposit enabled.

On the other hand, the situation remains unchanged in March. If we consider that March 1st is a weekend, the payment will be sent on the last working day in February. And with Direct Deposit, your check will arrive on the same day of the month.
SSI amounts for February and March 2025
In 2025, the maximum monthly check for this benefit will be $967. There are no higher-level checks unless the SSI application is made as a couple. However, in these cases, the payment typically does not exceed this amount.
Remember that each Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payment is unique in the sense that each case is investigated in a completely different manner.
When applying for the payment, keep in mind that there are two basic requirements: you must be 65 years old or older, have a disability, and have limited resources.
This second requirement determines the final amount of our check: the lower our monthly income, the larger the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payment we will receive each month.
