PRINCETON, WV – A Princeton man was detained on Saturday, February 2, 2025, after a domestic incident at 217 Kee Street in Mercer County. Authorities arrived to the property after receiving a 911 call from the suspect’s grandmother, Alene Lambert, who reported that her grandson, Brian Justice, had smashed two windows, damaged the walls of his room, and physically assaulted her. She further said that Justice promised to “kill everyone if the law was called.”
Mercer County cops arrived at the location around 10:10 a.m., with Cpl. E.D. Leftwich positioned himself near the back window of the residence—a known escape route used by Justice in previous incidents—and Ptlm. Cook approaching the front door. Justice attempted to flee via the window but returned inside when he saw law authorities. Officers were able to take him into arrest inside the house.
Victims Report Ongoing Threats.
Following Justice’s arrest, officers met with both victims. His mother, Kathy Moore, informed police that Justice had been making threats against her and his grandmother all morning and was under the influence of methamphetamine. Lambert, the suspect’s grandmother, stated that she was shoved and threatened throughout the incident.
Previous Domestic Violence Conviction
Justice has a previous domestic battery conviction in McDowell County, with a deposition date of August 31, 2021. Following his arrest on Saturday, he was processed and brought to Southern Regional Jail, where he is currently being held pending arraignment.
