PRINCETON, WV — Two West Virginia school coaches have lost their jobs following criminal investigations.
Travis Francisco, the wrestling coach at Princeton High School, was fired by the Mercer County Board of Education on Tuesday after being charged with seven charges of having sex with a pupil.
After receiving a complaint, state police began an investigation.
Francisco is being imprisoned at the Southern Regional Jail on a $250,000 bail.
Sarah Bell, the girls’ basketball coach at Tygarts Valley Middle School in Randolph County, has resigned after being charged with misdemeanor assault and battery.
Sheriff’s deputies investigated and filed the charges.
The Randolph County Board of Education accepted Bell’s resignation on Tuesday night.
