By January 2025, the Social Security Administration (SSA) has set the payment schedule for disability benefits (SSDI). By now, two payments have already been made.
The SSA usually sends payments to SSDI disability insurance recipients on the second, third, and fourth Wednesday of each month, the same days as retirement benefit recipients. Some people, like those getting Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or payments from before May 1997, have different dates.
The three January SSDI payments: What is your designated date?
Payments will be made like this: Beneficiaries born between the 1st and 10th of any month will have received their payments by January 8th.
People with birthdays from the 11th to the 20th received their money on January 15th. People born between the 21st and the 31st will receive their compensation on January 22nd.

By January 31st, people getting SSI payments will receive an early payment that is the same as what they would get on February 1st. Payments from the SSA are not sent on holidays or weekends, so they are moved to the closest business day.
What happens with the SSDI payments established for the month of February?
For payments in February, we will follow the same rules as in January. People will get their payments on these dates: February 12 for those born from the 1st to the 10th, February 19 for those born from the 11th to the 20th, and February 26 for those born from the 21st to the 31st. In February, you will notice that SSI payments will be made on the 28th since March 1st is a Saturday.
The SSA states that after the 2.5% cost of living increase in 2025, the highest monthly SSDI payments for eligible beneficiaries will be about $1,530. For people getting SSI, the most they can receive is $967 for each person, $1,450 for couples, and $484 for essential helpers.
