Blair Campbell, a Lewisburg resident, will launch her first book at Love Child Toy Store on January 18 from 12-4 p.m.
Her children’s book, “Jamlachia: The Campbells Go Camping,” is about a multicultural family who learns about love while on a trip together. She hopes it will be the first in a series of Jamlachia books about the intersection of Jamaican and Appalachian cultures.
Campbell will read the book at 12 and 2 p.m. In the meantime, she will sign copies for anyone who stops by Love Child, which is located at 933 Washington Street in downtown Lewisburg.
Momma Campbell, ever the problem solver and bringer of people together, takes you on a camping trip with her loving family, reminding her of the value of life itself. A book for children and parents. Jamaica and Appalachia collaborate on a story about love, family, and spending time together.
Life is full of twists and turns, highs and lows. This story is a reminder to take your time and enjoy life. This book is meant to be read aloud with your child. Explore the pictures and reflect on your own family as you embark on this epic journey with Momma, Poppa, Penelope, and Oliver Campbell.
