ArtsaRound Gallery Moves Forward in 2022

CIRCLEVILLE, OHIO- 2020 and 2021 turned out to be very successful for the newly established ArtsaRound Gallery on the Original Circle. Plans are in motion to move forward allowing the community to continue to get involved, take leadership, and share their talents. The gallery is located at 135 W. Main Street in the heart of Historical Downtown Circleville in the Pickaway County Historical Society’s Marfield Bank building.
The gallery walls are filled with local art for purchase. The organization was able to host ten full art shows last year including glass artist, Jack Pine, a print exhibit by muralist Eric Henn, and a show from oil painter Steven Riggs. Classroom space also reopened this year with a fun assortment of art and craft classes. See ArtsaRound website or Facebook for a complete listing.
“Gallery memberships are a large part of what keeps an art space active,” says Dale Herron, ArtsaRound’s President. “It’s such a simple way to support your local arts while getting discounts, advance notifications, along with other perks.” ArtsaRound memberships start at only $25 and go up to a corporate level with marketing, advertising, and promotion for that business.
The ArtsaRound Gallery also plans to expand their level of leadership by offering a Gallery Coordinator post. This position provides a perfect opportunity for an individual to learn about the art gallery business, while hosting shows, networking, and working directly with local artists.
“We are also wanting to increase our local music and musician presence.” JP Pennell, ArtsaRound Vice President, states, “We want to play and sell local musicians CD’s and material, as well as host live performances during downtown events on the space in front of our gallery”. Some events coincide with Uptown Circleville, Downtown Business Alliance, and Pickaway Visitor’s Bureau events. Musicians may be offered compensation.
The ArtsaRound Gallery on the Original Circle is a rare pie-shaped property that was part of the original circle of Circleville. The gallery is manned by local volunteers Fridays 4pm to 7pm, Saturdays 10am to 6pm and Sundays 1pm to 4pm. Hours may vary based on volunteer availability, special classes, gallery events, and other advertised downtown events. Look for more gallery information on Facebook or email [email protected]
