In honor of Veteran’s Day, the Pickaway County Chamber of Commerce thanks FORJAK business leader Matt Palmisciano for his service to our country and continued service to our community.

Matt Palmisciano served 12 years as a Marine Corps fighter jet pilot, and an additional 8 years flying for the Air National Guard. Matt graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy as a commissioned officer. He completed three deployments to Iraq, and a tour of duty in Japan. His stateside military career took him coast to coast, from San Diego to South Carolina, before settling in Ohio and founding FORJAK with partner Adam Logan.

FORJAK Industrial is a hometown company devoted to providing the very best in commercial and industrial painting and maintenance. Since 2001, Adam and Matt have worked together to create a workplace culture that empowers employees to achieve the company’s mission while sustainably growing the business.

Matt’s time in the military taught him valuable lessons that he applies at FORJAK Industrial. Matt described how constant change in a military environment mirrors the business environment. The practical skills he learned in the service help him effectively manage change at FORJAK.

“Military service taught me to appreciate diversity. The Marine Corps brings people from all backgrounds together to serve. It doesn’t matter where you are from, or where you have been, if you are willing to work hard as part of a team you get an opportunity to advance and grow,” Matt said.

Matt called attention to the military’s way of taking care of its people so they can take care of their fellow servicemen and women, as well as their families. “Taking care of people is the way we create a caring and positive culture at FORJAK,” He shared.
