Pedestrian bridge over Scioto River

The Pickaway County Park District is looking for your ideas about the proposed Scioto River pedestrian bridge! The plans for this bridge will connect the City of Circleville with the west extent of the Pickaway Trail as well as Canal Park and its over 5 miles of trail!
The District is expecting that the project will cost around 2.5 million dollars. The District has already received $500,000 from a State Capital Allocation Grant to start this project. We will also be going after additional grant funds from several other grants, including Clean Ohio Trail Fund and TAP Grants, over the next years to cover the cost of the bridge.
The existing railroad abutments are in good shape and will be utilized in this project, which will save construction costs. The conceptual plans are to be finished this month and at this point, the District will be hosting a public meeting to discuss the project more. On the Pickaway Parks District website is a questionnaire and place for you to give feedback.
