Treat Yourself to Pickaway!
Visitors who stop in at The Welcome Center ask a variety of questions. Most often, people are stopping into town looking for somewhere to eat. From there we try to direct people to the locally owned and managed restaurants that are in the area. In Pickaway County, there are over 50 different dining establishments. Especially now, we all need to be supporting local when we can, so these businesses will survive.
How can you support local restaurants and dining? It is now easier than ever. Many restaurants are offering options such as dine in (inside or outside), curbside, or even delivery. Food trucks such as Circleville’s Taesty’s is out and about in the area at least once a week as well. There is an option for all, no matter what your comfort level may be.
So where are you going to eat dinner tonight?
Here are my suggestions for this issue:
The Thirsty Parrot Bar and Grill, Circleville – currently offering curbside services. I recommend the loaded fries or potato skins (I love potatoes), and their bourbon chicken is the best. They also have to go drink specials.
Ashbrook Distillery, Ashville – available for dine in, carry out, or delivery. They are a part of the Pickaway Pizza Trail, so I highly recommend their pizza. They also have delicious wings and daily specials featuring home cooked favorites.
El Palomar Mexican Restaurant, Circleville – available for dine in or carry out. My go-to meal is the steak fajita and a side of rice.
Dairy Shed, Circleville – available by call ahead for carry out or drive through. I feel like many people do not understand the giant variety of their menu. They have lots of deep-fried goodies as well as burgers, and dairy of course! I enjoy their ice cream sundaes and foot long chili dogs.
Visit Pickaway County and embrace the variety of restaurants and help support our local commerce! Treat yourself to something delicious in Pickaway!
